Architectural Projects Teaching, Writing, Research
|
Qualitecture’s services are provided by Barry D. Yatt, FAIA, NCARB, CSI, CDT, a tenured professor of construction technology and practice at The Catholic University of America, and an architect with over twenty-eight years experience (twelve in full-time practice).
Mr. Yatt is also a nationally recognized producer of professional educational programs and texts including the AIA’s Promises, Promises: Forging Healthy Project Relationships, and the John Wiley & Sons/NCARB monograph Cracking the Codes: An Architect’s Guide to Building Regulations. He served nationally as chair of contracts education for the AIA and was a founding planner of the AIA/ACSA Professional Practice Summer Institute. He is currently developing patent-pending software that automates the processes of materials selection and construction detailing, and is working on a four-volume book series that applies the theory and process of design problem-solving to problem-solving in general. Mr. Yatt teaches full time
from September to April, and consults to the profession from May through
August. He has the time, the dedication, and the experience you need. The
passion that led him to shift from a successful practice career into education
is now available to you and your firm.
Quality control consulting has been provided by Mr. Yatt for several DC area firms since he started teaching in 1991, including Leo A Daly, SmithGroup, Compu.tecture, Heller & Metzger, Bryant & Bryant, Roberts Ross & Reagan, O’Neil-Manion, The Winkelman Company, and STV/Lyon.
